Pizza Palace Route 66 in Barstow

You know a restaurant will be good when the parking lot is full. We got there just past 7:30 PM and had to park in the lot next door. It's a casual dining experience where you pay at the counter when placing your order. Yet it has a cozy dining area with an adjacent arcade area for the kids. I ordered a medium pizza for the two of us and was pleasantly surprised to be told that for a pittance more I could have a second pizza of comparable value. In other words... the two topping pizza I ordered qualified me to get any other two topping pizza for an additional small change. I changed my order to get small pizzas and paid slightly more than I would have for the one medium sized pizza. On top of that, I got extra sauce on both pizzas free of charge. It was a very pleasant evening after a long day on the road.

We stop here for dinner when we have occasion to go through Barstow. It is a funky place with all sorts of Route 66 memorabilia. There are TVs set to various sporting events blaring. The food is the draw for us. Great pizza, fresh and well stocked salad bar, good beer selection (bottle, mug or pitcher). There are usually lots of kids running around: it is family friendly with pinball and other games. It's not a place for a nice quiet or romantic dinner, but for pizza and beer it is as good as it gets. Worth the stop for us after a long day on the road.

My husband and I were visiting Barstow on our way to Calico and decided to stop at this place for dinner. It did not disappoint. The pizza was pretty good, it had enough sauce and the crust was nice and crispy. The salad bar offered some good choices of veggies (as well as macaroni & potato salad, but I didn't try those) and they were constantly filling the veggies containers with fresh cut veggies. The reason I give it a 4 star rating is because the salad bar closes at 8:30, so if you get there around 9 looking for salad, you won't get any.

Pizza used to be really good but lately it's been mediocre. Price is too high for the quality.

I been going here for a while pizza has been bomb. But today I ordered pizza and it wasn't good. So they brought me some more pizza and it wasn't no better then the boxes they brought me. I don't know who cooked it but they need to be fired. I won't order no more pizza from them. I will eat there salads but not there pizza. It was more cheese then sauce and meat,and it was burnt at the bottom. I'm good on there pizza .

This was a fun little pizza place for our family of six. The food was good and we enjoyed the arcade games in the back. We will definitely be back. We visited a little late in the day and though it was a little messy, they looked like they were cleaning up from an earlier party. Most of the games worked too!

Good place to enjoy a nice pie, spend time with the fam, kids can play video games. Would be nice to have a newer selection of games to play some are a bit outdated. But never the less we had a good time out with family to enjoy the time and good 🍕

Excellent Pizza. So fresh and worth the stop. Don't let the negative reviews keep you from this awesome restaurant. Wish we weren't just passing through because based on this pizza I can only imagine how delicious the rest of the menu is!. My entire family finished off the 15 inch family size pizza in less than 10 minutes!!! We will order the party size next time! Awesome phone and inside service. Thank you Route 66 Pizza for the best tasting pizza we have had bar none and we have plenty of places to choose from where we live....none are this good!!🤗

I was only in Barstow for one night so I wanted something quick to eat. This place has great pizza's and a nice interior. It looks closed on the outside though. So be sure to check it out!

Pizza was delicious with perfectly made crust and oven timing was just right. And, ice cold beer on tap. Service was poised and friendly even though they were carrying a lot of weight. I enjoyed the Route 66 decor inside with the desert motels out the window. This place contributed the the Route 66 roadtrip experience. Downside notice: this is a pay-at-the-counter joint.🍕🍻

Too bad i forgot to leave a review a few weeks ago. This is my second time coming here && i made sure to come on my Birthday! The cashier rememberd my face along with the guests that i came with(: The food was Beautifully made as well with the many smiley faces when we walked in the door. Very kick back place by far, salad bar is Bomb (: Come and take your family to the best pizza joint in Barstow (: You will feel at home (: Happy birthday to me!! Lets goo!!

Awesome lasagna. Place is not fancy, but food is good. Recommend if you are on the historic route 66 and in Barstow, CA.

This was my first experience here. I had the salad bar which was fresh and had a good variety of items to choose from. My son had the pizza and this kid LOVES pizza. He enjoyed it and would like to go back. They have video games to keep the kids occupied and even a little prize section for the tickets they earn. This is a great family establishment. I think you'll enjoy yourselves.

Really liked all the route 66 pictures. Good stop for us. PIZZA not the best, sorry but little Ceasars for half the cost would have been just as enjoyable. Three crust sizes, we got the thick.

Good pizza. This place is a good spot for a quick bite.

Service was excellent. Peeps very friendly. Pizza's were yummy. Bathroom clean. Women's restroom had a changing table. For the kids there was a mini game room with a ticket store.

They just raised their prices, but always a good place to bring the family and always good food to eat!

Called to get a delivery order to our hotel. What we ordered according to their menu total about $32.00. Man tells me it's just under 50.00. Hung up phone and we re-added... still came up with 32.00 . Called back to cancel because we felt we were being taken advantage of for delivery. Lady that answered was very rude, didn't even ask who the order was for and slammed the phone down. Guess that's California hospitality at its finest.

This place was a nice hole in the wall pizza stop. There really isnt anything else around. It is very easy to spot from the road. Wheelchair accessible. The parking was easily accessible. The food was outstanding. We had pasta, pizza, spaghetti, and a philly cheesesteak sandwich. All were amazing. The salads we got were overstuffed, however, in a Styrofoam case. The ranch was too runny to enjoy on the salad. The ground was very dirty. The games they have are VERY old and dirty and some dont work. So a 2 out 5 star on cleanliness. But 5 of 5 for the food!
